The technique reveals light from darkness
A garment becomes more than clothing.
Bleach Art is a technique for creating images on black fabric using bleach. Instead of applying paint, the image appears through a chemical reaction: bleach removes the pigment from the fabric, leaving a lighter-toned design. The image is not printed on top — it’s formed within the very structure of the material. It doesn’t wash off, crack, or fade over time. Every artwork begins with a sketch, made specifically for one piece. Realistic portraits emerge through layers of controlled bleach.
In a world of endless copies, these garments reclaim expression. Each one exists only once — like the person it was made for. I’m always open to new ideas — whether it’s a theme, photo or a sketch.

About artist
Hi! My name is Anna. I’m an artist working with oil, bleach, and digital techniques. I graduated from the Faculty of Painting and Drawing at the UAP and also studied conceptual art — though I’ve always stayed close to realism in my work.
I choose my themes based on personal resonance. In oil painting, I’m drawn to nature and the individuality of people. In digital art — to fantasy worlds shaped by my experience in the game industry. And with bleach, I focus on portraits and symbolic imagery.
What I love most about working with bleach is the co-creative process — bringing someone’s unique idea to life on fabric and turning it into something we’ve made together.
